The Magic Won The Draft Lottery.

I’m Promising  You I Have Been Faithful. Never Have I Ever Hid This Love. Yes, My Fandom Of I’m Promising  You,  I Have Been Faithful.

Never Have I Ever Hid This Love. Yes, To You, My Fandom Of The Orlando Magic. Though my Intensity For Basketball And Ultimately The NBA Has Weaned And Burned Out Since 2009. That Faithfully and surprising Playoff Run To Finals. Lead By None Other Than Franchise Center Dwight Howard, Jameer Nelson, Rashad Lewis, Hedo Turkoglu Helmed By Stan Van Gundy. A Dream Run.  The Magic Overcame The Favorites To Win The Title, in The  LeBron  Lead Cavaliers In East Conference Finals. For All Instance and Purposes, It Was a Magical Time. Of Course, Magic Fades a with The Wind.  That Finals And The Step Forward It Represented for a Still Very Young Franchise. The Subsequent 4-1 Thrashing  Redefining Kobe Bryant and The Los Angeles Lakers Felt Like a Stub Toe.

The magic was short-lived. Dwight Feuded With Team(Primarily Coach Van Gundy), Then He Infamously Moved On To Those Very Lakers Via Trade. The Lakers Weren’t  As Reveling Two Removed From Those Clashes With The Howard and Magic. Howard Would “Wallow” In Kobe’s Shadow, Shone LA For Houston, And Ultimately Into One Tenuous Situation After Another.  Every Season in The Aftermath Of 2009 Felt Like The Mental Mountain Climb To Forget The Pain Of The Stubbed Toe.

The Team Stalk Up On the First Round, Most Of Whom Would Star Outside Of Florida. The Magic Have Made the Playoff Twice In 6 Years. Magic Fans Were Forced To Shut In A Stay Quiet Through These Ignominious “Phases And  Cycles.” One Top Ten Selected Player Traded. Precipitating Another Chapter In Post Dwight Rebuilding Era.

On After A Another After Another. I Promise You I’ve to Represent The Blue White And Black. But I Felt My Dignity As A Basketball Fan Challenge I Quitly Shuttle My Fandom Under the Veneer Of My Golden State Warrior Adoration. All Of That Ineffective Magic Had Its Blessings. I Can’t Think Of Any “Developing” Team With A Better Compendium Of Young Talent. Cole Anthony, Wendell Carte Jr, Mo Wagner, Markell’s Fultz, Jalen Suggs, Etc. In Anthony, Suggs, Fultz, RJ Hampton, The Magic Can Roll Out Enough Young Guards To Put A Barber Out Of Business.

On Tuesday Night, Something Magical happened. The Magic executive Staff Pulled Out All Of The “Superstitious” Filigree. Hats, Lottery Balls From Past Magic  Picks(Three In Total). The Magic Earned The 14% Percent Chance Of Winning The Lotto  Finishing The Regular With The Second Worst Record  In The League, Worst In The East, Just Nudging Out Detroit. The Magic Have Finish Three In The 3 Of Last Five Years. Suspended Between Those lackluster Years Were Two Bottom Seed Of Eastern Conference Runs In The Playoffs.

The Magic Have A Number One Pick, Which Has served That Well In The Past( Shaq, Penny Via Trade, Dwight), The Strongest  Roster Amongst The “Bad” Team, I Think.  Almost Every One Of Their Young Players Showed Glaring Promise This Season, Finals Contention.

After Sealing Their Fate Through The “Luck Of Losers” Trial, The Magic Will Have The Bets Fortune To Land Any Prospect In The 2022 Draft. In last Years Lottery Picks, Jalen Suggs and Frans Wagner Both played Exceptionally. Especially Wagner, Who At One Point, led a Rookies In scoring For Stretch. Wagner Finished The Month Of December, Averaging an NBA rookie-best 19.5 points per game while shooting 47.6 percent from the floor, 40.4 percent from 3-point range, and 88.9 percent from the free-throw line, According To Magic.com. Wagner Ended The Year at 15.2,  Good Enough For Fourth. As of The Day Of This Writing Being Voted First Team All-Rookie NBA.

Now the Magic Are Poised To Pair Wagner And The Rest Of The Young Group With Another Possible Transcendent Talent. Taking A Look At The Magic Roster, There Aren’t Too Many Holes. Perhaps Two Guard. With The Assortment Of Guard Prospects, All Whom Can Fill The Two Guard Spot, None Of Whom Have a Keen Sense Or A Natural Predilection For Off Ball Scoring. The Magic Could Look To Filling In The Four Spots Alongside Wendell Carter Jr. Mo Bamba’s Rookie Deal Expired, And He Should Be On His away To Another Team. Sliding Carter To The Five and Drafting His Replacement Makes The Most Sense. Either Way, The Magic are Going To Has Their Unadulterated Look At Some prospects.

Assuming The Magic Go Big, Those Prospects Begin With Duke’s Paolo Banchero. When Paola Banchero( Pronounce: pau·low buhn·cheh·row) Isn't Mistaken By Reporters As Another Famous athlete Like  Patrick Mahomes, I Guess It's Because, Of The Hair, He’s Busy Becoming A Famous Athlete.

Banchero spent Most Of This Past Spring Dominating The ACC And The NCAA Tournament, Leading Duke In Scoring and To The Final Four in Coach Al’s Final Season. Paola Excels At all Levels Of Offense. Incredibly Strong around The Basket, Whisperingly Deft On The Perimeter. He’s talented Enough Of A Ball Handler To Work In Space; though He Often Settles For Jumps, He’s Got The Touch When No Space Comes Open. Operating Primarily Out If The Mid Post The Seattle Native Did Most Of His Damage On Mid M- Range and Posted Up Buckets. The Results 17.1 Points Per Game With A True Shooting Percentage Of 54.5. As A Critique, You Would Have Like For Him To Have Shot Better From Three, 44-130, But He Did Catch A Fever From Deep In The Tournament, 10-19, Averaging 18.8 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 3.4 assists while shooting 53% from Deep. His Free Throw Shooting Percentage (72%)   Project Paolo Can Become A More Than Capable Stretch Four, With Reps. Banchero Like To Play With His Back To The Basket More Than You’d Like as Well. The College Rank Had Few Player Who Frame Could Banchero’s Pound For Pound So It Behooves Him To Exert His Will at All-Time, But The Pro Will Offer More Resistance and The Increase Spacing should Tempt Him to Operate To Face With Escalated Frequency. At 6-foot-10 and 250 pounds, Paolo Plays Like A Prime Rudy Gay With A build Like Former Duke Blue Devil Carlos Boozer.

Knocks On Banchero Include His Limited Defensive Upside. He’s Not The Special Athlete; He’s The Polished Player. He Struggles to Move East-West. An Indicator Of “Tight” Hips. Rarely Created Separation On Drives Instead Having To rise Over Defenders For Contested Twos. Banchero Shot Has Potent Touch as Immaculate Release and He Fourth In Two Pointers Made In The ACC, Primarily From The Outside. It’ll Be Interesting To See If He Lives On A Diet Of Those.

Banchero Averaged 1.1 Blocks And 1.3 Steals Per  40 Minutes With A Defensive Plus/Minus  Rating Of  2.3. For a Big, Those are Plus Steal Rate,s But Overall warm To Tepid Defensive Rates. Teams May Consider A 13.3 Turnover Rate Too Sour To Stomach, But At A Usage Rate of 27. 5 and And Assist percentage of 17.5 Banchero Upside as Playmaker Could Void His Mistakes. Still, Banchero Showed Incredible Instincts When Timing Blocks.

Opponents have Left Gasping When Their Assumed Layup Went Careening Off The Class.  Plus, Mark Williams—Duke’s Center and Lottery Prospect—Handle Most Of The Clean Up On The Defensive Side Of The  Ball.  He Did Struggle A Touch On The Perimeter. He has That High Center Of gravity, So Getting Low And Fluid On Switches In pick And Roll May Expose That Vulnerability. All In Salk, I Just Don’t Believe The Magic Can Go Wrong With This Pick.

If A High Usage/Volume Big Doesn’t Like Banchero Behoove The Magic Brass Of Magic President of Basketball Operations Jeff Weltman, Head Coach Jamahl Mosley,  Magic Chief Communications Officer Joel Glass. Opting For The Fast rising Jabari Smith Of Auburn Wouldn’t Be The Worst Alternative Choice. Standing 6-foot-10 and has a 7-foot-2 wingspan, Smith Plays The Four In A More Traditional Sense. Suppose Your Traditional Big Play Out On The  Perimeter And HAs Earned Reputation As A “Pure Shooter” On Spot-ups and One DribblePull-Upss. He Just Turned 19 Years Old A Few Years Ago, Which Makes s One Of The Youngest Players In This Draft. He Hasn’t Tested Yet, But On Film/Screen, He’s A Fluid, Full Range Athlete. The Youngest of The Three Prospects Projected In The Top Three. Smit,h Who Finished His One Season At Auburn, was Famously Ousted Early, In The Third Round of The Tournament, Soaring Up Draft Boards Because Of His Shot Making At His Size. This Year We Witness Another Georgia Prospect Surge To Number One In Travon Walker In the NFL. Could We See Another?.

Smith’s  Offensive And Defensive Productivity Mostly Shined on the Perimeter. He averaged  16.9 points and 7.4 rebounds For The Tigers On 42% Three-Point Shooting. Auburn Didn’t Ask Him To Do Much As A Driver, And Smith Floated Of The Outside,e Dropping Bombs And Doing Damage From Deep. He finished The Season With Nearly Much Three Point Attempts (188) As Two Point Attempts (239). Game Jabari Doesn’t Offer The Upside As A Playmaker. He finished The Season 5 turnover s Less Than Assist. Auburn Mostly Used Him To Scouring the Mid Post And Perimeter And Read Cutters And Back Screens. Often TimesSettledg for Long Threes When Teams Played Drop Zone. That Three-Point Clip Peak At Around 45% Before Defenses Started To Register Jabari As An Outside threat. Where He trumps Ranchero, Switch-ability, Smith Could Project To Defend All Three front Court Positions. He’s A better Shot Blocker, And Playing Outside Of The Paint Didn’t Put A Dent in His Rebounding Percentage. He Played Alongside Potential First-round Pick 7’1 Walker Kessler, So The Fit With Orlando's Glut Of Bigs Shouldn’t Be Too Much of A Concern.

Bigs Haven’t Been The Desirable Option In The Early selection Of The Draft. Outside of Joel Embiid And Karl Anthony Town, A top-five Bigs Get treated The Plague. Later round, Guys Like Isaiah Stewart, Domantas Sabonis, and Rudy Gobert Areconsideringr Steal And Loss. Teams Will Accept To Avoid Jahlil Okafor, And Marvin Bagley.

Smith Compares Similar To A Guy Like Deandre Ayton, who Also Excel On The outside Offensively. On The Other End Miles Turner, A Proficient Shot Blocker and Capable Floor Stretcher. Most Mock Draft Projects Favor Smith Over Ranchero And Chet Holmgren. The Magic Head Coach Jamal Mosley  Stated, The Teams Only  Interest Or framework For The Player They’ll Select: “competitive, young, talented, high-basketball IQ player.”

Other Names Looking up At Smith And Ranchero But Certainly Not Out of The Picture Include:

Chet Holmgren(Gonzaga). The Rail Thin Playmaker Out of Gonzaga. Chet’s Held The Block, Always Posted In The Top Three Of Players In His Class, Since His Junior Year At Minnehaha When He Plays Alongside Jalen Suggs. Chet Averaged An Elite 3.5 Blocks As A Freshman For Gonzaga.  Chet Battle Banchero Earlier In The Season. Duke Emerge As Victor And Number one Team. The Two Have For Number Before Their Days In College. Squaring Off For The Title Of Number One Player In High School. After  Banchero Had This T Say About His Rival For The Top Prospect Spot: “Chet’s a great player. As you said, we’ve played against each other before. I think he played well. He made some tough shots. You know he’s a game-changer on defense. I had a couple of layups that usually, against anybody else, I would score, or it’d be a dunk, but because Chet’s down there, I couldn’t finish like that. That’s just an example of how he changes the game. He also brings a skilled game on the offensive end, so yeah, great player.”

Top Guard Prospects :

Jaden Ivey(Purdue). Exciting Unbelievable Polished Combo Guard. Ivey HAs Sudden Contorting  Athletism. They could Lead A Team Out of The Double Guard Spot Like Donavan Mitchell.  You’d Be Hard Press To Find Holes In His Game.

Shaedon Sharpe(Kentucky). At 6’6, Shaedon Has Prototypical Size For A Scoring Guard.  He’s A Silky Clean Shooter With High-Level Athleticism. Shaedon May Need To Work on His In-Between Game, But He Shares The floor With several Guards At Kentucky. He could  Prove to Be The Next Best Thing At Two guards.

Benedict Mathurin (Arizona). A Marble Sculpted Athlete With A 6’6 “3-D” Three And D Prospect. Mathurin Has That “Jump Off The Screen” Athleticism And An Exceptional Set Shot Shooter entwined With Two Foot Leaping Skyrockets  Tied To His Feet. His Shot And His Legs Get Height. He Landed On 37.9% Of His Three-Point Shots. He’s Not Talented Enough as a Playmaker to Go At Number One Not Too Mention Three And D Prospects Have More A Skeptical Reputation With Success at The Next Level Than Centers. Think Former Wildcat Stanley Johnson.

Forwards/Center Jalen Duren(Memphis).A Supe Up Hyper Athlete With Tight Hips And A Developing Feel For the Game. Duren’s A  “Tweener,” Built Like a Power Forward Plays Like A Center. With a Ridiculous 7’5 Wing Span Duren Blend Length, Power, Bounce, And Natural Feel Into A Force Of Nature Inside.

Guard Johnny Davis (Wisconsin). Jalen Suggs 2.0
