Thursday Night Football Review.

A First For Me A Solo Game Drop.

New York Jets Vs. Houston Texans

The season forecast for the New York Jets Suggested an alternative End to this season For A New York Team Still Shuffle All Of The Football Cliches To Find success. Sign Veteran Quarterback, Fire Head, And Go All In On The Cap To Win This Season, And Yet The Jets Find Themselves Replaying The Same Narrative Over And Over. Like A Mathematical Paradox, The Jets Introduced New Variables But Came Out To The Same End. The Jets Have Gotten Active With Transaction In weeks’ course Bringing Davante Adams And Working out Their Contract Dispute With Hasson Reddick However At 2-6 Coming Off Of An Inexcusable Loss To The Patriots the Jets Find Themsleves Straddle With Questions They Presumed Answered. The Once Trustworthy Defense Has Turned Heads For The Wrong Reasons. Even Sauce Gardner The Jets Corner Sometimes Above Reproach Has Inspired Criticism. The Houston Texans Spot A 6-2 Record Good enough For Second In The AFC Serves As A Mask Because The Team has played Anywhere Near  That mark This Season And The Offense Has Lost Both Top Receivers With Stefon Diggs Season-Ending ACL Injury Which Could End HiS Bills Tenure. Right Now The Texans Rank 13th Amongst NFL Teams According  To ESPn’s FPI Metric. The Jets Always Prove A Tough Outing For Teams And They're Playing For Pride Or At Least To Keep Themselves In Headlines Nearly Every Week.

The  Defenses Showed Out Early In This Contest . The Texans Tried To Get some Burns Off Of Joe Mixon But The Jets Defense Knows The Texans Don’t Have  The Weapons On The Outside And Forced Houston Off The Run. With Stroud Forced To DropBack The Jets Deliver pressure, Getting Home A Couple Of Times and and Forces Stroud To Play Off Scedule. Worse Even For The Houston Pass Game, His Top Targets Like Roberts Woods and Tank Dell Play More Of The Deep Threat Role and Dont Have The Array Of Routes Of Diggs Or Collins Forcing Stroud To Hold The Ball FOR a long Time Trying To Get In Sync With His Other Receiver. Woods Would Pick Up A Big 32 Yard Catch That Set Up The First Score Of The Game For Either Team late In The Second Quarter As The Texans Drive 98 Yards In 14 Plays. The Jets Attempted To Get On The Board first Early in The Second Quarter With Rookie wide Receiver  Malachi Conley On An End Around. However The Rookie Drops The Ball Before Crossing The End Zone. Afger Review The Game Officials Confirm That The Ball Rolled Out The Back Of The End Zone Resulting In A Touchback and Houston Ball. The Play Summed Up Much Of The Jets Season. Despite Stroud Ending The Half Hitting On Less Than 50% Of His Throws And Averaging 3.47 Time To Throw.  The Second Half Would Belong To The Jets Offense And Garrett Wilson. Wilson Would Pick Up Two Touchdowns. The  The First Touchdown In The Third Quarter, Help The Jets Tie The Game 7-7 With a 21 One Handed Catch And Run By Garrett Wilson. The Second Touchdown Early In The Fourth Quarter A Special One In The Back Of  The End Zone, One Handed  with A Defender Draped All Over Him. Truthfully I Can’t Discern Which Catch Looked Better.

Wilson Manages To Get A Shin Inbounds and The Jets Pull Ahead 14-10. Rodgers Would Throw Another Touchdown This One To Adams On A Slot Fade In One On One Coverage. The Jets As Rodgers Bounces Back From His Terrible First Half And Perhaps Not Save Their season Just Yet But Hold Back The Censure From The media For Another Week With A 21-13 Win Over The Texans. Rodgers finished The Second Half 15/18 For 179 Passing Yards, Three(3) Touchdown With The Best Of Rodgers Work Coming Through His Three Touchdown Passes Otherwise He Accomplished Very Little in The Pass Game. Vegas Had The Jets Favored and Most Commentators Thought The Odds Strange But The Jets Prove Vegas Correct With This Game But The Jets Still Feel Like The “UpsetOr” Rather Than Getting Upset By The Texans. The Jets Offense Put Points On The Board But The Defense Found Themselves Sack Stroud 8 Times And Generated Some 20 Pressures, 8 Pressure From Hasson Reddick, Will McDonald Added 9 As The Jets Pass Rush Dominated The Texans Offensive Line. Garrett Wilson Caught 9 Passes For 90 Yards, Two Touchdowns. Adams Added  7 Catches For 91 Yards And His First Touchdown As A Jet.

The Texans try Their Best To Nurse Their Small Lead In The Second Half And Only Used Three Drives Total In The Second Half all Field Goal Attempts But To No Avail.

Joe Mixon Finished With 24 Carries For 106 Rushing Yards 4.4 A Carry But The Texans Couldn’t Stick With The Run. Despite The Texans Coming In With Some Of The Highest Pressure Numbers They Blitz Rodgers On Third In The Fourth Quarter And Paid The Price With a Davante Adams Touchdowns And those One On Ones That Kept Aaron Rodgers To 50% Completion Proved Real Shaky Late In  The Game. CJ Stroud 11/30 for 191 Passing yards Easily One Of The Worst Games Of The Year. The Schedule Doesn’t Get Easier For Stroud Or The Offensive Line As They Get An extended Break Before Facing The Lions. One Bright Spot Tank Dell With 6 Catches For 126 Receiving Yards. With Diggs Down For The Year The Texans Should Make A Move For Another Receiver Via Trade, Maybe The Giants Darius Slayton.

Catch Of The Year. Garrett Wilson, Davante Adams, and Aaron Rodgers and Three Touchdowns Second Half In 21-13 Over The Texans May Not Save The Jets Season In 21-13 Thursday Night Win. The Victory may Also Harken Back To Failures, The Freshly Licked Wounds The Jets Suffered Like Sunday’s To the Forlorn Patriots. Wilson’s Fourth Quarter Catch, His Extended Frame Towering  Over A Texans’ Defender Might Stand As a Shining Moment, A Beacon In The Sky, A Bat Signal Even, that Jets Fans Still Have Reason To Hope And Cheer And The Same “Old” Jets Might Fly A Different Route One Day.
