NFL Week Eight Takeaways.

Bills Vs Seahawks

The Bills Thrash The Seahawks In Seattle 31-10 As Josh Allen Looks Like The Best Quarterback  In Football Scrambling Taking On Contact, Completing Passes Off Platform And Throwing Heaters That Will Cut Through The Sound Barrier. Allen Threw For Two Touchdowns, 24/34 For 283 Passing Yards, One Interception, and A Passer Rating Of 102.9. His First Touchdown was A Jump Ball In Keon Coleman In The End Zone Over His Defensive Back. Coleman Pulled In 5 Catches For 70 Receiving Yards And A TouchdownZ Running Back James Cooks Spare headed The Offense, 4 Explosive Runs, Two Touchdown, Multiple Forced Missed Tackles On His way Through 17 Carries For 111 Rushing Yards. The Bills' Offense And Defense Controlled This Game From Start To Finish With The Seahawks' Offense Registering Just One Drive In The First Half Of Better Than Two Yards Gain, 71 Yard Drive That Yielded Seattle A Field goal. In the Second Half Seattle Faired No Better Thanks To A Second Interception From Geno Smith a Late Muffed Punt To End The Game. Smith 21/29 For 212 And Added 16 Yards On The Ground. Seattle Played Without Star Wide Receiver DK Metcalf Who Sat Out With An  Injury. Jaxson Smith-Njigba led the Team In Receiving With 6 Catches For 69 Receiving Yards. The Loss Leaves Seattle Virtually Locked With The 49ers And Cardinals At 4-4 In The Division With Seattle Holding The Tie Breaker and First Place For Now. The Bills Continue To Surge Toward Another AFC East Championship As The Rest Of The Rest Of The Competition Out East Falls Behind.

The Texans Outlast The Colts In The Final Seconds Of Sunday’s AfC South Matchup 23-20 To Give Houston Total Control Of The South. Colts Quarterback Anthony Richardson Quickly Earned The Censure Of Fans and Analyst After Finishing with Just 10 Completed Passes, A Late Scrambled Where Richardson Picked Up Extra Yards Late but Failed To Get Out Of Bounds. Richardson also Had An Awkward  Moment Where He Took a Break On The Sideline After A Long Run. Richardson's Ten Completion Netted Him 175, Including A 69 Yard First Half Touchdown and 25 Yard Dime To Near The End Zone To Josh Downs That Set Up a Second Half Colts Touchdown By Jonathan Taylor At One Yard Line. If You Trust My math Thats Two Passes that Account For 94 Yards AndThe Other Eight Account For 81 Yards Total. Downs Came Down With Four Catches For 109 Yards.  The Porous Showing On Offense Overshadowed A Great Defensive Performance For The Colts Who Kept This Game And Gave Indy A Chance With a Late Forced Fumble. The Texans Offense Produced One Complete Touchdown drive, In The 2nd Quarter, 10 Plays 70 Yards That Ended On A 14 Yard Run By Joe Mixon. The Other Texans' Touchdown Came Off Of An Indy Interception Which Gave The Texans a Short Field and A Easy Rushing Touchdown.  Some players have Called For The Colts To Bench Richardson In Favor Of Joe Flacco has looked Good Under Flacco  But If Shane Steichen Turns On Anthony Richardson Now a Vote Of “No Confidence” Could Shape  His Career In Some Ways From Here On  Out. Steichen Needs To Vote For Today And The Future With Richardson who’s Not The First Quarter To Face Tough Time To Start A Career Making Just His Ninth Start. Flacco’s Played Exceptional Off The Bench But His Best Days Have Long Receded. Richardson Still Gives The Colts The Option At Quarterback For Now. Stroud Finished 25/37 For 285 Passing Yards, One Touchdown, 99.5Passer Rating. Joe Mixon 25 Carries For 102 Rushing Yards. Stefon Diggs Left The Game With an Apparent Knee Injury After Leading The Team In Receiving With 81 Yards. The Texans Escape The Colts And Now Look Up Only At The Chiefs In The Conference.

Packers Vs Jaguars

Jordan Love Continued His Run On Games With At Least One Interception And The Packers Quarterbacks Leaves This Game With An Injury But The Packers’s Offense Proves Too Much For The Jags To Overcome. With Love On The Sideline With A Groin Injury The  Jags Pulled within One Possession Of the Pack Late In The Fourth and Tied The Pack Late. Malik Willis In For Jordan Love Gets A big 51 Yard Catch and Run By Jayden Reed To  Set Up A Game Winning Field For The Pack 30-27.

The Jags overcame A Late Double Figure Deficit After A Terrible Fumble By Trevor Lawrence Set Up A Short Touchdown For The Packers On A Malik Willis Pass To Tucker Kraft. The Jags Would Claw Back. Despite A Strong Performance In The Run Game For The Packers The Jags Defense Managed To Force Back To Back Punts, One Thanks To A Sack By Travon Walker.

With Less Than 4:00 On The Clock, Trevor Lawrence Would Lead The Jags on An 8 Play 87 Yard Drive Capped

Off By A 14 Yard Touchdown Passing Touchdown To Tight Evan Engram  Who Towered Over Three Defenders In The Back Of The Back The End Zone To Tie The Game For Jacksonville After The PAT.  the Packers Would Drive Down To The Jags' End Zone And Kick A Game Winning Goal. The Jags Struggled To Sustain Drive Converting  Just 1/9 On Third Down and That One Conversion Came Late In The Fourth Quarter. The Jags First Four Drive Went Two 3 And Outs, An Interception, and Then Another 3 And Out. In The NFL It’s Tough To Shake Off Slow Starts and Hope To Defeat A Well Coached Team Like The Packers Especially When You Turn The Ball Over. The Defense Kept The Game Close With a Pick Of Their Own But The Packers Proved Too Much After The Jags Busted Coverage.

The Pack Dominated The Ground Game With Josh Jacobs Who Rushed for 127 On 25 Carries. Jordan Love was 14/22 For 196 Passing Yards, and Malik Willis was 4/5 For 56 Yards And A Passer Rating of 152.9.  Trevor Lawrence Finished With a Game High 308 Yards On 21/31 Passing Two Touchdowns,  One Pick, And an Awkward Fumble Near His Goal. Lawrence Has Future MVP Talent But He Stretches Himself Sometimes He Did Have Some Success Throwing Deep Connecting On Three Passes Of 20 yards Or Better. The Jags Likely Fall Far Out Of Any Type Of Contention In The AFC South and Need To Look To bounce Back Next week Against The Eagles. The Pack Have Won Four Straight Five In Their Last Six But They Face A Great Test With The Lions Coming Up On The Schedule With Jordan Love's Health Status Up In the Air. Willis Has Proven A More Than Capable Back-Up Quarterback In The NFL.

Ravens Vs Browns

The Ravens And The Browns Battled Like Division Foes. Winston Gets The Browns Over 20 Points For The First Time On The Season But Baltimore Missed Out On Some Big Opportunities With Some Big Drops On Offense and  Defense And The Brown Pull The Big Upset With A Late Touchdown

From Jameis Winston To Cedric Wilson Taking The Win 29-24. The Ravens Had Multiple Opportunities To Pull Away With This Game. The Final Drive For The Saw Jackson Drive The Ravens Offense Down Within The 25 Only To Cease Up with Three Desperate Passes To The End Zone That Fall Short. Kyle Hamilton The Ravens Safety Dropped an Opportunity At An Interception Around The 1:05 Mark In The Fourth That Would’ve Ended The Game For The Ravens. Instead, Jamies Winston Gets Another Shot and hits Cedric Wilson Over The Top For the go-ahead 39-yard touchdown.

Ravens Receivers Rashid Batemon and  Nelson Agholor Both Caught Big Passes Including a Touchdown For Ahgolor Drop Big Passes Downfield In The First and Second Half. Batemon’s Over The Deep Middle Came With The Ravens Pinned Against In Their Territory Needing Another Score and An Time Eating Drive To Put The Browns Away With Baltimore Trying To Take The Lead Back From The Browns Up  Three(3) 20-17. Jamies Winston Wo Finished 27/41 with 334 Passing Yards, Three Touchdowns, and A 115.3 Passer Rating Would Lead The Browns To Score Three Touchdowns and Nine Points and Close Off The Fourth Quarter and The Win For The Browns. Field Position Played A Crucial Role as The Ravens' Second Half Saw The Offense Marred By Drives Deep In Their Territory. Jackson Finished 23/38 For 289 Passing Yards For Two Touchdowns, a 101.8 Passer Rating, and Multiple Sacks. The Ravens Struggled On Third Down Just 2/10 And The Browns Defense DespiteGiving 5.9 A Carry Held Derrick Henry Under 100 Yards Rushing. The Ravens Had Opportunities To Put This Game In The Bag And Just Failed To Haul in that Opportunity. The Ravens Defense Remain One Of The Worse Defending The Pass And Played Without Both starting Cornerbacks In Marlon Humphrey And Nate Wiggins. Joe Flacco, Jacoby Brissett, And Jamies Winston Have All Thrown For Over 300 With The Browns But Never Deshaun Watson.

Titans Vs. Lions

The Titan's Defense Held The Lions' Offense To -6 Passing yards and three Sacks At A Point In The First Half, and Usually Those Numbers Could Crush An Offense. The Lions Don’t Work Like An Ordinary Offense, GoffStill Finished the First Half With Two Touchdowns, A Passer Rating Of 118.8 On 6/8 An MVP candidate Getting Outplayed By Mason Rudolph a Backup Up And Calvin Ridley. Jahmyr Gibbs With a Big 70 Yard Touchdown Run, David Montgomery Scored A Touchdown Off Of A Rudolph Interception, and Despite an uncharacteristic Start The Lions Offset In The Run Game. The Kick Return Game And Field Position Game Played A Crucial As The Lions Get Two 60 Yard Returns That Gift The Lions Two Score And A Five Touchdown First Half Touchdowns Shaking Off An Early Attempt By the Titan's Offense To Stay Afoot. David Montgomery Would Get In On The Passing Game  When He Hit Sam Laporta For A three Yard Touchdown. The Lions Would Get Another Massive Return This Time Khalif Raymond Would Get Into The End Zone After A 90 Yard Punt Return. The Lions Would Amass Over 200 Yards On Special Teams, And Score 42 Points By The Third Quarter. The Titans Came In Ranks As A Top Ten Defense.  The Lions Scored 40 Or More Points For The Third Time This Season. The Lions Generating Just 94 Yards Passing Blast The Titans 52-14. Jahmyr Gibbs Scorched across The Field For 11 Carries For 127 Rushing Yards 11.5 A Carry And A Touchdown. Khalif Raymond Total of 190 Return Yards And A Touchdown. Four Different Lions Scored In The Receiving Game, Two In The Rushing Game, And One In The Return Game. The Lions' defense gave up 143 yards to a struggling Calvin Ridley who had not passed fifty yards in the past four games and had 182 yards total receiving this game. Tony Pollard(94) And Mason Rudolph(266) Both Finish With Season’s Best Outings. The Detroit defense will get tested to the limits against a Packers attack, and an offense will come in on a Heater.

Buccaneers Vs. Falcons

The Bucs Offense Will Statt Their First Voyage Without Both Leading Wide Receivers Mike Evans And Chris Godwin And While The Bucs Have More Than Decent Depth Outside Of An Over A Hill sterling Shepard  None Of Trey Palmer, or Jalen McMillan Have Starter Level Experience. Godwin Spare Head ed Tampa's Attack Against The Falcons Last Time The Teams Played and No One Player Or Collection Of Players Will Replace His Production. One Way To Replace Yards after Catch with Yards On The Ground. The Turn to The Game Early,The Falcons Forced A Fumble Of Bucky Irving Early. Safety Jessie Bates Punches The Ball Out On Tampa’s First Drive. Bates Would Also Pick Mayfield Off In The Third Quarter ON a Forced Ball To The Outside.

Atlanta Would Use The Turnover To Kirk as an Opportunity To Hook Up With Kyle Pitts For 36 Yard Touchdown To Get Atlanta On The Board First. Pitts would score the Falcons' first two touchdowns in the game, and he’d get back on the board for the Falcons for 49 yards. Pitts Almost Loses The Ball At  The End zone But The Review Lacked A Good Enough Angle To Overturn The Touchdown. While Tampa’s Offense Focused On Methodical, Languid Drives, The Falcons Picked Multiple Explosive Plays To Match Up On The Score Board.  The Falcons Would Strike The Bucs' Secondary Again This Time Cousins To Darnell Mooney for 30 Yards Through The Tampa Secondary Further Kirk Cousins' Control Over The Falcons’s Secondary.

The Bucs' Offense Would Charge Down To the Red Zone And the Bucs Tight End Would Get On The Board with Cade Otten On 5 Yard Drag Route. The Bucs Ate Up 15 Plays To travel 70 yards. The Buc's “Ugly” Style Of Football Would Redeem Their Fumble And Get The Bucs The Lead. On The Next drive Drive In The Second Quarter, The Bucs Would Work From Their three-yard line, Heavy Ground Game With Two Explosive Plays To Tight End Cade Otten For 29 Yards and an 18-yard screen Play For A Touchdown. The Falcons Would AGAIn Prove Too Much For The

Bucs To Overcome.

Baker Mayfield Two Interception Second Half Would Doom Tampa Bay’s Attempt To Pull Off The Comeback As Atlanta Takes A Strong Lead In The Division With A 31-26 Rising To 5-3 And Dropping Tampa To 4-4. At Times Kirk Cousins Takes Fault For Not Taking The Aggressive Route But This Game He Played A Well Balanced Football Game With Four(4) Touchdown,  23/29 276 Passing Yards, 9.5 Avg, 11.5 A Completion, 144.3 Passer Rating. Cousins Even Scrambled To Keep A Late Falcons Drive Alive As Atlanta Squeezed The CLOCK. Baker Mayfield Fell Into The Over Aggressive Camp, with Two Picks On Passes Over 20 Air Yards And The Bucs Who Fell on The Score Board Had To Lean In On Mayfield More Than I Think The Offense Desired.  Baker Mayfield was 37/50 For 330 Passing Yards, Three Touchdowns, Two Interceptions, and Two Sacks and The Bucs Lost The Turnover Battle. The Falcons Had The Worse Pressure Rate In FOOTBALL but The Bucs Generated Zero Sacks And Thats Where The Trouble On Defense Starts, They Dont Have A Menace On The Line. The Falcons Bounceback With Another Crucial Win but Outside Of The Bucs Who Have They Beaten In The Conference TheFalcons Will Face Tougher Foes As They Push Towards The Playoffs.

Dolphins Vs Cardinals

Dolphins Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa Made His Return To Football This Sunday And He Brings Hope, Trepidation, and mystery to him.  Hope The Dolphins' Offense Ranks 30th In Adjusted EPA Per Play A lot Of Publication have Explored The Dolphins' Offensive Drop Offs But Thats Far Off From The Top Five Finishes Since Mike McDaniels Took Over. The Dolphins Struggled With Tua On Baird but His Presence Bring Hope Of At least Something To Speak Of Offensive.

The Dolphins got Their Offense Going, Tua Didn’t Take A Swing In The Explosive Game Early, But The Run Game As The Dolphins Run Game Gets Miami On The Board For The First Score Of The Game With Raheem Mostert With a Rushing Touchdown. Tua’s Return Mattered To The Dolphins Offense And For Himself, He Looks Like His Best Self Without The Obvious Big Plays. He Completed Just Two Passes Over Ten Air Yards But Finished The First Half 19/25 For 162 Passing Yards, +4.4. Tua Showed Flashes Of Brilliance And Rejuvenation For The Miami Offense. The Dolphins Lead This Game For All But 0 Seconds Before Cardinals Kicker Aaron Brewer Kick Slash Through The Uprights and The Cardinals Made Off With The Thrilling Victory.  With The Dolphins Up 20-10, Mid Way Through The Third Quarter Dolphins Had The Momentum Swung Out Of Their Favor On A Botch Snap That Resulted in A safety. On The Ensuing Drive Kyler Murray would Cap Off A 9 play 75 Yard Drive With a 22 Yard Touchdown Pass To Marvin Harrison Jr That Cut The Dolphins’s Lead To Just Two Points. Murray  Would Close The Game With One of His Best Passing Performances Of The Season 26/36 For 307 Passing Yards, +8.8, 11.8 Per Completion, CPOE, and Three Explosive Pass Plays.

The Dolphins Offense Had Another Touchdown Drive Inside Before The Fourth Quarter Tua Would Tag His Wide Receiver, Jaylen Waddle  For A Combination Of Big Plays Waddle Caught Two Passes For For 35 On The Dolphins Final Drive That ended With Raheem Mostert 6 Yard Touchdown To push The Lead To 27-18. The Cardinals Would Score Four Times in the Final Six Drives Of The Game To Pull away With a Harrowing Victory. Marvin Harrison Jr. Finish With 6 catches For 111 Yards and One Touchdown, Including A Diving 16-yard catch Going Into The Boundary To Keep The Cardinals' Fourth Quarter Drive Alive That Ended In A Second Half Touchdown. Marvin Harrison Would Haul In A 22-yard catch and Trey McBride Would Catch A 16 16-yard pass To Set The Cardinals up In The Red Zone  Where James Connor Close Off The Drive And Cut The Dolphin Lead To Just Two Points. The Loss Effectively Ends Virtual Any Chance Of The Dolphins Rerouting This Loss Though, Stranger Things Have Happened. The Dolphins Finished With A Good Game on The ground, 10 Carries, For 97 Yards, and 9.7 A Run. Tyreek Hill Finished With 6 Catches For 72 Yards. This Is The Cardinals’s Defense So This Doesn’t Mean The Miami Offense returns to Days Past. The Cardinals Find Themselves In The Thick Of The Most Mediocre Division In Football The NFC West. The Cardinals Offense Has Sputtered Constantly All Season But If Kyler Can Lead The Team To Any Semblance Of Consistency The Cards Could Threaten The Niners For The West.

Panthers Vs. broncos

The Panther Head Coach Dave Canales Choose To Reinstall Bryce Young As The Team’s Starter In Week Eight. The Panthers Benched Young After A Lackluster Two-Game Start To The Season With Hopes More Time Behind Veteran Andy Dalton Could Elevate Young. Dalton Performed Well Getting The Panthers Their Only Win Of  The Season But He’s Fizzled Down And Carolina Needs Another Spark From An Old Flame. Canales Could’ve Picked A Better To Start Young Rather Than A Date With The Denver Defense. ESPN FPI Efficiency ranks The Broncos Second On Defense the Bronco's Defensive Line Enters Sunday with Number One Pressures And Young Struggles In General But Pressure Only Adds More Noise To His Focus. The Panthers Conversely Have The Worse Defense In Football, Giving Up  (34.7) Per Game The Worse In Football. The Broncos Offense Still Ranks Near The Bottom so 34 Points Or Anything Near That Figure Shouldn’t Be Feared By The Broncos To The Panthers. Two Of The Worse Quarterbacks In Football Bryce Young And Bo Nix Played Some Inspiring Ball On Sunday With The Broncos Coming Out On Top 28-14. Facing Carolina’s League Worse Defense Bo Nix Put Forth His Best Game As A Passer 28/37 For 284 Passing Yards, Three Touchdowns, And Of 124.2 Passer Rating.

Bryce Young Held Up Against This Tough Denver Defense Throwing Two Picks In The Process He Linked Up With Rookie Receiver Xavier Leggette For Young’s First Touchdown Pass Of The Season On A 6 Yard Strike That Gave Carolina A 7-0 Coming Off Of A Fumble By Denver. The Broncos Would Tie The Game 7-7 In The Second As Bo Nix Scrambles For A Red Zone Touchdown Securing Nix being Responsible For All Four Of Denver’s Touchdowns in the Game. The Denver Would Push Away From The Panthers Heading Into The Second Half Building A Two Touchdown Lead by Half And In the Third To Push Ahead 28-7. The Panthers Would Score A Late Touchdown In The Fourth For “Comestic Value” As The Broncos Roll To 5-3. The Panthers Offense Had Moments Under Young But The Mostly Spent A lot Of Their Time Going Three and Out After Some times Barely Gaining More Than Five Yards On  Drive. The Panthers Average Just 4.7 Yards Per Play And The Run Game Plummeted Again With Young In The Line-Up. Has Bryce Young Done Enough? Considering He Just Threw His First Touchdown After Three Starts Probably Not. The Broncos offense Look Their Best Self and If The Defense Can Continue To Keep games Close The AFC Hasn’t Seen  The Best Of Denver Just Yet.

Bears Vs Commanders

The Jayden Daniels Watch Started Sunday  Morning With “Hope And Optimism” He’d Play Through  The Rib Injury He Suffered In Week 7 Against The Panthers. With Fans AND Anylyst Hype To watch This Game Featuring The Top Two Picks Of The 2024 Draft Both Playing At Their Highest Capacity This Game Matters More Beyond Bragging Rights and Legacy Between Two Players Intertwine In History Forever. The Eagles Have gained ground On The Commanders In The NFC East This Game Could Have Wild Card Implications TheCommanders Have Flipped Their Offseason Projections And Now They Are Expected To Win. The Expectation Of Potential Shootout Between Williams And Daniels Turned Into a Defensive Struggle, With Four Commanders Field GOALS to start The Game And Two Late Second Half Bears Touchdowns To Take The Lead. The Bears Suffered Two Costly Mistakes Upending a Shot of Pulling Away With The Harrowing Victory. The Bears' Offense Caught Fire Against   The commanders’ Defense And Seeks Their Second Touchdown in the Second Half The Offense tried to Get smart and Use an Offensive Lineman To Run The Ball At The Goal Line but The Offensive Lineman Fails To Secure The Ball And Caleb Williams Get Credited With The Fumble  And The Bears Botch An Opportunity To Take The Lead After Trailing Most Of The game. The Commanders Offense Failed To Get Out Of Their End Zone and The Bears Would Make Sure Get The Go-Ahead Touchdown. This Time At The Goal line, NoGimmicks  Roschon Johnson Powers Through For A One Yard Touchdown. A Pass Interference Call On Fourth And Three By Washington Cornerback Benjamin St. Juste Kept The Bears Drive Alive and Opened The Opportunity For The Bears To Score. By Then the Commanders Had All But Lost The Game But Jayden Daniels Performed The Miraculous, completing a 52-yard Hail Mary To Noah Brown. The Ball Fell a Little Short Of Its Target But Ricocheted Of The Hands Of Bears’ Corner Tyrique Stevenson And Into The Hands Of Noah Brown. Tyrique Stevenson Got Caught Mocking The Crowd Before Finding Out Of Position on The Hail Mary That Sealed The Win For The Commanders. The Commander's Offense Put Up Nearly 500 Yards On This Stout Bears Defense As The Bears Play A Bend Dont Break Style Of Football And Force The Commanders To 0/3 In The Red Zone. Jayden Daniels 21/38 For 326 One Touchdown 14.6 A Catch, 10.7 Completed Air Yards. The Bears Offense With Better Red Zone success, 1/2, Finished Just 2/12 On Third Down. Caleb Williams Finished 10/24 For 111 Against A Very Times “Vulnerable” Commanders Defense. Caleb Showed Some of His Worse Tendencies LikeHunting Bigger Flashier Plays Rather Than Keeping The Sticks Moving With The Simple Options On Offense.  Most Of Williams' Completions Went Over 10 Yards and Featured Him Scrambling In Some Form. Even with The Two Scoring Drives The Bears Got a Big 56 Yard Run From D’andre Swift And The Pass Interference Call To Keep Drives Alive. The Bears Offense Doesn’t  Have Much Of An “Identity” Just Yet. The Commanders Guy Out A Tough Win To Stay Ahead Of Philly In The NFC East.
