More Of Week One

Jets Vs. Niners

Will This Become The Year That Brock Purdy Earns The Respect Of The Football World By Large? Purdy Has Put Up Some Of The Best Numbers To Start a Career. He's Won San Francisco where Other Higher Regarded Quarterbacks The Later Years Of Jimmy Garrapolo And Trey Lance, Higher Draft Picks, Haven't Succeeded In Kyle Shanahan's Offense. Still, with 44 Touchdown, a Nearly 70% Completion Percentage, And More Than 5600 Yards Of Career Yardage in 25 Games(Less Than Two Season), Purdy Remains An After thought In The Colossus Of The Niners, A FOOTBALL Giant, Entire Product. Purdy Will Start His Latest Chapter Against His Narrative With The Greatest Test Of A Season For Him Against The Toughest Defense In Football In The New York Jets. More and More teams will Seek To Challenge Purdy, The Player, And Not The Extension Of Kyle Shanahan’s Will.

The Monday Night Matchup, The Jets Defense Proved They Could play The Superior Force If Only For A Drive Early In the game , Knocking Purdy off His Pivot And Forcing Two Early Three and Outs, One Resulting In A Field Goal On Short Field. Another Quarterback With Something To Prove Aaron Rodgers, Now Edging Towards 40 Years Old Coming Off Of An Achilles Rodgers Has To Prove Himself Again That He Can Play MVP Ball.

Last We Saw Rodgers, Before he Crumbled To The Ground Against Buffalo Last Season,  In Green Bay Rodger Produced One Of His Worst Season As A Pro, Now Commanding A New Team How Would Look. After A Early Fumble On The Jets' First Drive, Rodgers Gets The Packers On The Board With His  First Lead Touchdown Drive With The Team(Jets) A 12 Play 70 Yard Drive Consisting Of 7 Passes, As Rodgers Started The Game 7/9 64 Yards And Breece Hall Who Fumbled On The Jets First Drive Punches In A 3 Yard Run At The Goal Line.

The Jets's Defense Gave Brock And  The 49er's Offense All The Problems. Brock Purdy started The Game on 2/7, and The Best Offense, Kyle Shanahan's Play Calling Could Conjure, Jordan Mason Putting On His Best CMC Performance With Christian McCaffrey Out Due To Injury. Mason almost delivers the Niners A Touchdown, But A Deebo Samuel Holding Penalty Brings The  Touchdown Back. Samuel would make up for the mistake by converting a Two-yard rush down at the goal line. Despite the early struggles, the offense Produced 16 points in the first half, two red zone trips, and Purdy recovered to 9/16 for 106 passing yards. Suppose Purdy doesn't possess the Best Athleticism, Strongest Arm, Or Brightest IQ. In that case, He Has An Unflappable, Unwavering Confidence To keep Swinging Passes, and on Monday, The Jets' Defense Gave Way To the Niner's 401 Total Yards Of Offense, 5.7 Yards Per Play As The Niners Dominate The Jets On Monday Night. Jordan Mason Had  No Trouble Plowing Down The Jets' Defensive Line with 28 Carries For 147, Both career Numbers. Mason Produced Multiple Explosive Runs and Only Suffered One Negative. Aaron Rodgers, After A Strong Start, Succumbed To The Niners's Defense. Rodgers Over Concentrated On Targeting Wide Receiver Garrett Wilson Feeding The Jets Promising Star 11 Of Rodgers 21 Attempts, Maybe That's What The Duo Discussed Combatively During Training Camp—Allen Lazard Who Caught Six Passes On Nine Targets for 89 Yards. The Jets offense under Nathaniel Hackett/Aaron Rodgers will have to find creative ways to open openings for Wilson and not rely on him to get open Downfield One-on-one. The Jets Don't Have The Full Force Of Their Entire Lineup With Mike Williams Still Getting Healthy, And Yes, Although Just Week One of A Football Season Can Get Away From A Team Quickly While Waiting To Get Healthy. The Jets Got Very Little On The Ground, Just 68 Yards, And Pretty Much Turned Breece Hall Off In The Second Half.

For The Niners, Brock Purdy is 19/29 For 231 Passing Yards and a QBr Of 83.9, And He Looks Well On His Way To An MVP. Purdy Could Learn To Use Some Retrains. The Niners Scored Every Position After The Early Punt, But A Zealous Brock Purdy Failed To Convert Two 3rd Downs By Targeting Deep receivers Instead Of

Going For The "Safe" Conversion. Purdy Average An Outrageous 11.6 Per Completion.

Bears Vs Titans

Not Even A Good Day Into His Career, And Caleb Williams Already Has To Face The Most Daunting Expectations, A Task Every Chicago Quarterback Must Look Up Before Every Season With the Potential Of Ridding The Franchise Of The Unique Distinction As Passing Virgin,  passing For Over 4000. Before The Passing Revolution In Football, Scratching 4000 Didn't Matter As Much For A Quarterback Because Only The Elite Had The Genuine Willingness To Scratch That height. However, Chicago Has Never seen a 4000 Yard Passer with that Stat Line Become Something Of a legend Like Excalibur; only A 'Chosen' One-type figure Can Pull The Sword Out Of The Stone, and Each Potential Swordsman Has Left The Team Dismayed. Now, Williams is The Most Exciting Passing Prospect Since The Last Exciting Passing Prospect Bears The Honor. Williams can also become the most significant thing in Chicago since Michael Jordan or Derrick Rose. Still, Williams must immediately prove their talents translate to this new game level. The NFL Is Still New To Caleb, And He's Proving Himself, So Let's Taper The Expectations.  Caleb Will Have Easier Time Knocking Down The Bears's Rookie Record 11 Touchdowns and 2,193 passing yards.  Caleb will have a lot of weapons to work with and a lot of mouths to feed, Which is a Double-edged Sword in football.

The Bears Defense Will Another Quarterback Looking To Mark His Place Amongst The Names Best Titans's Quarterback Will Levis.

Williams's  Pass Catchers Will Have To Adjust To Off Time Still Of Play and On Sunday That didnt Always Happen. The First Drive For The Bears' Offense Starts With a Good Run From D'andre Swift But ends as Williams's Scramble ends With an Incomplete Pass Falls To the Ground. Williams Quest To 4,000 Started Rather Inauspicious Just 1/3 For 1 Yard, And The Rough Start Would Worsen. In College, Williams Earned The Awe Of Fans Through His Ability To Run Around And Elude Rushers, But He's Not The First Quarterback To Learn That The Unscripted Style Of Play doesn't Always Translate From Lower Levels Of The PAC-12 To The NFL. Every Team Has Athletic Pass. On The Bears' Second Drive, Williams Would Take A Massive 19 19-yard sack, Expectedly Ending The Bears' Early Drive. Before He Broke 4,000, Williams Would Have To Play From The Pocket.

After A Slow Start For Their Offense, The Titans Would Turn Play Over To Tony Pollard. The Former Cowboys Starter Would Rush For 57 Yards, 7 Carries, and A Touchdown On A 26 Yard Rush To Put the Titans On The Board 7-0 In The First Quarter. Will Levi's Started The Game 4/7 For 21 Yards, 3 yards Per Throw. The Road To 4,000 Usually Starts With 200 Or 250 Or At Least 100 Passing Yard Caleb Williams Would get The Win, But Maybe For The First Time Ever In His Career, Carried By His Defense, His Special Teams, And The Blunders Of The Opponent's Quarterback. The Bears Defeat The Titans 24-17 In A Matchup Of Bludgeoning  Bad Football. Williams Would Finish 14/29 For 93, Passing As a Combination Of Special Teams and Defense Would Propel Chicago to Pass Tennessee. The Titans Would Score The Game's First 17 With Will Levi's At Least Looking Some Way part of The Game. After The Titans Score A Field Goal On A Botched Punt Return, Levi would Hit Tight End Chig Okonkwo. In The Second Half, The Titans Would Turn The Ball Over Three Times, Including Two Picks By Levi. One Returned For A Touchdown, and The Bear Would Come Away With the Win. The Bears averaged just 2.8 yards per play, converted just 2/13, and had 148 yards. The Titans Offense Faired  Better over 244; Tony Pollard, The Lone Bright Spot 16, Carries 82 Rushing Yards, 5.1 Rushing Yard, and A Touchdown. The Titans Have A Lot To Hang Their Head About In This Lost Because They Could Have Won If Will Levis Didn't Let His Arm strength Delude Him Into Attempting Unconscionable Throws. The Attempted Throw Away That Lead To The Torque Wilson Touchdown is Like A Skit Out Of a Charlie Chaplin Movie. In the Moment, I Could Only Imagine What Levis Intended To Achieve By Throwing The Ball Away, But Levis Should Have Focused On Throwing The Ball Away, NOT Into The Hands Of The Opportunistic. From this performance, you must assume that the Bear will go as far as Matt Eberflus's defense directs the team. Caleb must learn quickly that he can't outquick anyone in the NFL, and he must honor his craft as a pocket passer or face the dreaded reality of so many quarterbacks of his kin. Truthfully, He Looked Closer To Baker Mayfield Than Patrick Mahomes, Which Has Some Merit These Days, But Certainly Not What Anyone Expected.

Cardinals Vs. Bills

The Bills' New Reality After An Offseason Makeover Of Their Defense Has Already Set In. A Time Ago, The Bills Fielded A Vaunted Top 10 Unit, But Buffalo Over hauled Their Entire Secondary And lost Linebacker Matt Milano To Injury During the Offseason. The Cardinals And Kyler, Who Has A Lot To Prove This Season, Pounce On The Bills with A 17-3 With A Little Over Two Minutes Left In The Half.  Murray Would Extend Plays With His Legs; The Bills Would Extend  Plays With Penalties. On The Cardinals' first drive, Murray would link up with wide receiver Micheal Wilson to put the cards on the board first.

The New Look Bills Offense also suffers from turnover, so it would take some time to get going. Josh Allen would suffer a sack-fumble, leading to another Cardinals score and a field goal to put the Cards up 10-0. Allen would rally the Bills, first with a field to get on the board and then with a rushing touchdown to pull the score within Before the half. In The Second, Allen Would Answer The Call Once More, and If there were Any Questions About Joe Brady Would Keep Allen In Charge Of The Offense, the Bills Proved Nothing Changed With Their First Drive Out Of The Half. The playcalling Would Sprinkle In Some Runs, But Josh Allen In The Pocket Would Rifle A Pass Towards One Of His New Receivers, Mack Hollins, And The Bills Would Tie The Matchup 17-17.

After A Slow Start,  Josh Allen Took Over, And The Bills Would Start To Take Control With 10/11, 147.7 Passer Rating Through The Third Quarter. To Handle Murray's Scrambling, The Bills'  Pass Rush Would Employ Contains, Hold Murray In The Pocket, Forcing The Cardinals' Quarter To Win With His Arm and Murray's Turn To Fumble Within The Arizona 25 Yard Line. Josh Allen And The Bills Would Waste Little time, This Time Linking Up Khalil Shakir, One Of The Few Holdovers On The Bills; he Took A Short Pass, Forced a Few Missed Tackles, and punched in A Touchdown, Giving Them Bills Their First Lead 24-17. The Bills Offense Will rack Up Two More Score To Put This Game Away 34-28. The Cardinals would score again, this time on a 96-yard kick-off return from Deejay Dallas, but the Cardinals' offense would Stumble consistently in four offensive drives, only producing a field goal in the second half. Josh Allen Cooked Up 18/23 For 232 Passing Yards, 10.1 Average, Two Touchdown. Allen Targeted Ten Bills Receivers Total, Rookie Keon Coleman Came Down With 4 Catches For 51 Yards To Lead The Team. James Cook Added 19 Carries For 71 Rushing Yards. For Cards, The Offenss Has A Long Way To Go Murray Finished 21/31 with 162 Passing Yards, Adding 57 On The Ground Through 5 Carries. Outside Of The Catch from Micheal Wilson, The Cards' Receivers Had A Quiet Game, 1 Catch For Marvin Harrison Jr. in His Debut; Greg Dortch Finished The Game With 6 Catches and 47 Receiving Yards. The Cardinals' Offense Hasn't Evolved Even With New Pass Catchers. Of Course, The Season Just Started, And A lot of Wrinkles Will Get Ironed Out, But If Murray Can't Escape And Extend, His Diminutive Size Remains detrimental to Offensive Progress. The Cardinals will have to look in The Mirror and decide at some point this season what their future is with Kyler Murray. The Bills Passed Their First Test, And While No One Doubted They Could Beat The Cards, Buffalo's Offense Started Slow And Slow Start Have Followed Buffalo Year, Year But This Team Doesn't Possess The Same Talent Level.

Bengals vs Patriots

The Bengals Have Faced A Spanish Inquisition Of Contract Negotiations Over The Pass Two To Three Seal. Cincy has been drafted well in the past few years, and those rookie contracts have turned into maximum agreements at some point, starting with Joe Burrow as a quarterback and his significant deal. The   Bengals Organization Has Also thrown Money At Every Offensive Lineman Possible, From Orlando Brown To Ted Karras and Alex Cappa To Little Avail, to Protect Burrow. Then Cincy Faced The Most Daunting Contracts: Wide Receiver Tee Higgins Signed His Franchise Tag Tender, Keeping Him On Board For One More Year As His Rookie Deal Expired. The Bengals' Other Star Receiver, Jamar Chase, Has Two Years Left On His Deal, But He Wants To Get Paid Now, Chase Wants A Deal That Rivals Or Surpasses His Former College Teammate Justin Jefferson, $35 Million AAV. Chase will get a big deal, but the team has walked into week one for now and is unsure if they can count on his services. Truthfully, the NFL team should start leaning toward trading disgruntled receivers instead of succumbing to the receiver demand, Especially If The Guy Has two years left on the deal. At Just 24 Years Old, Jamar Has Most Of His Prime Well Ahead Of Him, But If The Bengals Want To Consider The Bigger Picture Of Their Franchise's Future Maybe Jamar's Not In The Picture.  A lot of teams have wide receiver hunger. The Bengals can pay Tee Moderately less than Chase to play the Number One receiver and use Draft Capital to improve the receiver's room next season. The Draft won't Lack Receivers For The Foreseeable Future.

Burrow Would Have Chase, not Higgins, But He'll Have Mike Gesicki, And The Former Patriot Gesicki would Almost Put The Bengals On The Board Instead of out Of Bounds And On The Next Patriot's Defense, Expected To Carry The Torch as The Team Strength Still While The Offense Figures Itself Out.

New England Safety Kyle Dugger Made The Defensive Play Of The Year(early) For The Pats, Scooping Up A Fumble Pass By Tanner Hudson and Effectively End A 13 13-play drive For The Bengals At The Foot Of The End Zone. Burrow would Start The Game, 10/13 Took A Couple Of Sacks, And the Bengals Would Go Into The half-blank. Jacoby Brissett Cemented As The Starter 8/14 For 79 Yards, But Running back Rhamondre Stevenson Would Carry The Team's Offense 11 Carries For 60 Yards For One Touchdown To Help The Patriots overcome the Bengals. For most of the off-season, the Patriots found themselves at the bottom of most off-season rankings, expecting to win no more than three games. While Three Or Less May Still End Up The Expectation, The Patriots Made A Long Way Leap Against Those, Expectations Defeating The Bengals 16-10. Jacoby Brissett got the start, but truthfully, Cincy's Joe Burrow played more like a backup, going just 21/29 for 164 passing yards, with a 5.7 average and a passenger rating 86.0. Five Of The Bengals' Eight Drives Would End With a Three-and-out, and The Bengals Would have Two Lost Fumbles. Rhamondre Steven's And The Patriot Defense Who Delivered Three Sacks, 2.5 By Keion White Prove The Pats MVP. Stevenson Racked 25 Carries, For 120 For One Touchdown. For The Bengals, Jamar Chase Picked Up 6 Catches For 62 Receiving Yards, Including A 28 Yard Catch, But The Bengals Couldn't Muster Much Offensive Continuity During The Game.  The Bengals Have Started Slow Every Season Under Zach Taylor, Even In The Joe Burrow. The Team Didn't Have All Hands On Deck, And We'll See How They Recover.
